Choosing an organic cotton T-shirt starts with a simple question: what exactly does the product page describe? The fabric matters, but comfort and use also depend on the fit, construction and finishes. Here are the points to consider when choosing among RIVHEX® styles.

Organic cotton and the finished garment: two different things

“Organic cotton” describes the origin of the fibre. On its own, it does not describe later stages such as dyeing, garment construction or printing. Read the composition and model-specific information rather than inferring a garment's properties from a single word.

A textile certification also has a defined scope. For reference, the GOTS standard covers the processing of organic fibres through to finished textile products. The presence of organic cotton on a product page does not establish that the customised RIVHEX® item itself is GOTS certified.

Comfort is also about how it feels to wear

Consider your preferred feel, neckline and room to move. Medium and oversized fits create different silhouettes. The word “organic” is not a universal guarantee of comfort or freedom from skin reactions: preferences and sensitivities vary.

Understanding fabric weight without making it the only criterion
